It’s my B’day today

By the grace of nature, I found myself at the Golden Temple early morning, before sunrise today. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to begin this day of celebration and contemplation.

I turned 34 today. It’s been four years of homecoming, living my quest for Dharma and nurturing the Sanjhi Sikhiya Community. It’s also been three years of being in service, anchoring myself in YogaSutras and a year of offering myself to the world in the form of Learn | Live | Lead | Love.

Sharing my commitments, wishes and requests as they came to me during my meditation under the Beri Baba Budha.

My Principal Commitments -

1. I am committed to living my life according to the universal laws of nature. My quest for Dharma keeps me going. The contentment of living in service and the joys of Nobel friendship far outweigh the difficulties and challenges I face.

2. I am committed to my experiments with Love. Meaningful Work and Meaningful Relationships can only be experienced when everyone involved is dedicated to personal transformation. We forget it often and get distracted by the misapprehensions of the mind. That is why I am determined to continue sowing the seeds of Love wherever I am.

3. I am committed to Nurturing Leadership and Transforming Systems to enable a safe and free learning environment for all children and young people. A lot of human potential never gets adequate support to flourish and realise itself. In the absence of an overall caring climate, everyone suffers. Voices of children and young people who can question and dream are silenced early on. I am proud to be part of the movement to change that.

My Primary Wishes drive my commitments for the world -

1. May we all be free of Fear and Animosity.

2. May we all grow in Compassion and Wisdom.

A Playful Request to engage with me -

My path of service and surrender may sound impractical, my anchoring in Indian Wisdom traditions may seem ignorant, and my active resistance to the dominant societal structures may feel repulsive. I would like to invite my extended circle of friends and acquaintances to my world on this day.

Here is how you can do it. You can pick one or more of the following -

1. You can fix up a 30–60 min slot for a 1–1 connect, and we can talk our hearts out. We can engage in a dialogue and understand each other better.

2. You can share your commitments and wishes privately with me or in the comments. They may be similar or different to various degrees but it will indeed be inspiring.

3. You can support my work at Sanjhi Sikhiya by donating here — https://bit.ly/ss-ankit. If 50 of you donate 5500 each, with our matching grant, we will collectively raise 5 Lakhs. This money will go towards nurturing one young leader for the future of Punjab.

If you can find even more creative ways of connecting, challenging and supporting, I will be open to the experiment
